Using the Content Calendar in Paige

Learn how to use Paige’s Content Calendar to view published and upcoming content, approvals, planned activity, and posting schedules.

Using the Content Calendar in Paige

The Content Calendar gives you one place to see what Paige has already completed for your business and what is planned for the weeks ahead.

Instead of checking different areas of Paige to see when a post was published, when images were uploaded, or what content is coming next, you can view your activity in a simple monthly or weekly calendar.

The calendar also updates automatically based on the automation frequencies you have selected for your business, making it easy to understand what Paige is working on and when.

How to open the Content Calendar

To access your calendar:

  1. Log in to your Paige account.
  2. Click Automation in the main menu on the left side of your screen.
  3. Under Automation Settings, click Calendar.
  4. Your Content Calendar will open, showing your business's activity and planned content.

By default, you can view the calendar by Month. You can also select Week in the upper-right corner if you would like a more focused view. Use the left and right arrows above the calendar to move between dates, or click Today to quickly return to the current date.

What appears on the calendar?

The Content Calendar brings together the different types of work Paige performs for your business. Depending on which Paige features and automations you use, you may see:

The labels at the top of the calendar are color-coded, which makes it easier to identify different types of activity at a glance.

Understanding completed, approval, and planned items

One of the most important things to understand about the calendar is that not everything you see has already been created. The calendar can show both completed activity and Paige's plans for future activity. At the bottom of the calendar, you will see a legend explaining the different statuses, including Needs approval, Completed, and Planned (not ready for review).

Completed content

Completed items indicate activity that Paige has already carried out, such as a post that has been published or an image that has successfully been uploaded.

This lets you use the calendar as a historical record as well as a planning tool.

Content that needs approval

Some content may require your approval before Paige can move forward. These items are identified with the Needs approval indicator. You can also see the total number of outstanding approvals in the top-right area of the calendar. Click the approvals indicator to review the content that is still waiting for action. This is a helpful place to check regularly so content isn't delayed because it is waiting for approval.

Planned content with dotted lines

If you see a future calendar item surrounded by dotted lines, that item is part of Paige's tentative schedule. It does not mean that the content has already been created. Paige typically creates content approximately 3 days before it is scheduled to go live. Until then, the calendar can still show the planned date so you know what to expect. For example, if you see a dotted Post scheduled for next week, Paige has reserved that date based on your current posting frequency. As the scheduled date gets closer, Paige will create the content and it can then move through the appropriate review, approval, and publishing process. Because these dates represent Paige's current plan, they can change as your automation settings change.

How posting frequencies affect your calendar

Your future calendar is based on the frequencies selected for each business.

For example, if your settings tell Paige to create and publish content several times per week, the calendar will display the dates Paige currently expects those activities to take place. If you change one of those frequencies, you do not need to manually rebuild your calendar.

Your changes are reflected immediately on the Calendar tab.

This makes the calendar especially useful when adjusting your automation settings. After changing a frequency, open the calendar to see how your updated schedule will look. Keep in mind that future items with dotted outlines are tentative. They represent the schedule Paige is currently planning to follow rather than content that has already been created.

Understanding planned image uploads

Future Image upload entries work a little differently because Paige needs images to be available before it can upload them. When the calendar shows a pending or planned image upload, the schedule assumes that suitable images will be provided and available for Paige to use. If images are available, Paige can complete the upload according to the planned schedule. If no images are available for Paige to upload, the planned date will not later appear as a successfully completed image-upload day.

In other words, a future image-upload entry tells you when Paige intends to upload images assuming the necessary images are available. It is not a guarantee that an upload will occur if Paige does not have images to work with.

Exporting your Content Calendar

You can also export a copy of your calendar when you need to share your schedule, keep a record of activity, or review it outside Paige. To export it:

  1. Open Automation → Calendar.
  2. Navigate to the calendar period you want to review.
  3. Look at the bottom-right corner of the calendar.
  4. Click Export PDF.
  5. Paige will generate the calendar export for you.

This can be especially useful for agencies that want to share Paige's activity and upcoming schedule with clients or other members of their team.
